Nina Buffi - CTO & Managing Director at OSPIN
Nina Buffi was born in Locarno, Switzerland, in 1985. She studied Microengineering at the Swiss Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) and did her Master's thesis at the University of British Columbia. In 2013 she received a PhD from EPFL, with a thesis about a biosensor for the detection of arsenic in water. After a few years spent writing a novel (not published yet), she joined OSPIN, a Berlin-based company aiming to establish an open bioprocessing platform as the „operating system“ of modern biotechnology. Since January 2018 she is the OSPIN's CTO and since August 2019 OSPIN's Managing Director.
Maryam Bahrami - Engineering Manager/Tech Lead at samedi GmbH
Maryam is a Software Engineer from Iran, she left Iran almost 10 years ago to pursue her career in Malaysia which she spent 3 sunny years there. 6 years ago Maryam moved to Berlin, Germany with her husband and two cats. She describes herself as a programmer by day and a dreamer by night, however these days she has less time for coding. Currently she is an Engineering Manager and Tech Lead at samedi, working with the latest technologies and challenging herself on a daily basis. Maryam loves to work on projects that have a positive impact on people's lives. At samedi their goal is to improve the digital health world for doctors and patients which is a hot topic due to the current situation.
Irina Tsyganok - Director of Engineering at Vogue
Irina is a senior technology professional, helping define the engineering strategy for global brands as well as recruiting and leading distributed and diverse software engineering teams. She's passionate about solving complex engineering problems, and above all - about helping individuals reach their full potential.
Ayelen Chavez - Engineering Manager at OLX Group
Ayelen is an Engineering Manager based in Berlin, currently on full-time maternity leave, but coming back to work soon. She was and will be leading a full-stack team within the OLX Group’s Tech Hub. OLX Group is a global product and tech company of 20+ brands and 5,000 people, helping to fuel local economies by making it easy for anyone to buy or sell through their platforms.
Ayelen holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and has 15 years of experience developing solutions for different platforms. She moved to Germany 5 years ago and spends her free time with her family and friends, playing music, reading, working out, or in between her other hundred plus hobbies.
